1. Skill requirements
For lvl 4 missions, all you need is avarage tanking skills, basic BS skills and drone skills and you are free to go.
For WHs you need very good tanking skills and good ship skills (T3 cruiser is ideal). Good tank needs good support skills, good dps needs very good gunnery/missiles skills. Plus for WHs you need good scanning skills.
So If you are relatively new to EVE, dont even think about WHs.
2. Time requirements
You will be done with most of lvl 4 missions within an hour (average skills). So you can make 10 - 15 mil per hour and then you can go off and nothing happens. With good skills you can make 25-40 mil per hour (depends on what missions you get ofc). Also if you need to go off, you can just dock in station and turn EVE offline.
In WH, you will need at least 30 minutes to scan all anomalies. Usually it takes longer. Then you will need time to clear it and loot it. Here you cant just go offline. So you have to leave WH, find station and dock first.
So if you dont want to spent more time in EVE playing, WH is not for you.
3. Risk
Level 4 missions are easy. You have mission reports so loosing ship in mission is really really hard. You dont have to fear of PVP players who will gang you in no time.
WHs are PVP hell. You dont see another people in local channel. Directional scanner is nice, but you have to spam it all the time and still there can be cloaked ships who will get on you as soon as you start shooting first sleeper. If you are doing class 3+ WH, you probably have ships worth hundreds of millions. Are you prepared to loose it? Unless you are really careful, you will get into fight with PVP players.

High sec lvl 4 mission:
Safe, easy to finish, you have LP for them. You can always go offline at any time. But yes, income is not that great.
Wormholes:
Very unsafe, time consuming, lot of well trained skills required, you need good ship (initial investment is not small), harder than lvl 4 missions, PVP hell (world is unfair, live with it). Great income, but is it worth the risk and time you spent playing it?
